COVID Update, December 7, 2021; 2 New Cases, 0 New Recoveries
December 7, 2021; 4:08 p.m., Sitansisk: New Brunswick Public Health has informed Sitansisk Band Administration of two new active cases and zero new recoveries of COVID-19 in the community. Both new cases are household contacts of existing cases, meaning these are not a result of community spread. At present, there are 8 Active Cases, 28 Recovered for a total of 36 cases. Public Health recently reported an exposure at the St. Mary’s Entertainment Centre; they have since clarified that this was related to an individual who does not reside in the community and is now isolating.
Public Health asks people answer calls from private numbers as this is how calls will appear for the purposes of contact tracing and reporting test results to patients. PCR tests can be booked via the Health Centre by appointment. They also request members continue to take all precautions, both in and out of the community as cases are rising in the region.
We thank all who have sought testing and continue to request anyone with COVID-19 symptoms to isolate and seek testing.
